About the project
The Notus Wind Project represents a significant step in advancing renewable energy development in Ukraine. The project directly supports Ukraine’s Energy Strategy 2050, which aims to ensure access to reliable, sustainable, and modern energy sources. In the context of the ongoing war, which has severely disrupted the country’s energy supply by damaging energy infrastructure, the construction of new wind farms is critical to strengthen Ukraine’s energy security and resilience.
The wind farm Notus Wind will contribute to meeting this demand by generating enough electricity to cover the average consumption of approximately 105,000 households.
The project is developed by NOTUS energy, a leading German wind farm developer with extensive international experience.
The Notus Wind will consist of 21 wind turbine generators with a rated power of 5.9 MW each.
The project has undergone a comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) in line with the international standards. A dedicated Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) has been developed to guide mitigation and monitoring measures throughout the entire project implementation period..
It is important to note, that the project has received a positive conclusion on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and has been granted the official permit for construction. These documents confirm its compliance with Ukrainian legislation and enable the transition to the practical implementation stage of the project.
